Welcoming Public Health Development Officials from the Ministry of Health, Bhutan, for a Study Visit on Infectious Waste Management at SEMed Living Care Hospital, February 26, 2024

February 26, 2024, between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

Welcomed a delegation of officials from the Public Health Development Project of the Ministry of Health, Bhutan, on a study visit regarding infectious waste management in hospitals, at SEMed Living Care Hospital.

This included a special lecture on Ministry of Labour policy on occupational safety, health, and working environment, delivered by Ms. Wannarat Srisuksai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour; waste management in the Rangsit Municipality area, presented by officials from the Public Health and Environment Division of Rangsit Municipality; and infectious waste management at SEMed Living Care Hospital, applying the STAR STEMS model.

The study delegation expressed appreciation for both the policy and practical approaches, which they considered a model to be applied in Bhutan going forward.
